The Kingston area is rich in history and beautiful architecture. Many of the Victorian and Edwardian century homes have been refurbished and updated, while still maintaining their original charm. Big trees, lots of green space and beautifully landscaped properties make for a lush, welcoming space in the summer months. Most area homes are within walking distance of great shopping, excellent recreational opportunities and significant cultural and historical landmarks. Nearly surrounded by fresh water, you’ll find Lake Ontario is to the south and the St Lawrence River to the east. The Cataraqui River runs along the east side of the city, connecting to the Rideau Canal. There are plenty of camping opportunities within 60 minutes and lots of fishing. The opportunity for sports of all levels and ages can be found all around Kingston. History runs deep in the city, which was the first capital of Upper Canada. We have Fort Henry, the home of the first prime minister, Sir John A Macdonald and the British Royal Naval Dockyards.

The educational standards are high with the Royal Military College, Queen’s University and St Lawrence College leading the way. Since Kingston is central to Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa, the opportunities for business are numerous. What a great place to raise a family or even retire.
